About the Job – Security Guard Vacancy in Kathmandu
British Gurkhas Nepal (BGN), under the UK Ministry of Defence, is seeking experienced Security Guards in Nepal to support the Establishment Security Officer and maintain the highest level of physical security for BGN personnel, dependents, and property.
This full-time role (40 hours per week, shift system) offers an excellent opportunity to work with a reputed international defense organization while ensuring safety and security at BGN barracks and outlying sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Control access in and out of the compound and prevent unauthorized entry.
- Conduct patrols, perimeter security, and CCTV monitoring.
- Carry out personnel and vehicle checks when required.
- Issue visitor passes and escort VIPs as necessary.
- Provide fire safety checks, Fire Piquet duty, and Quick Reaction Force support.
- Report and respond to suspicious activities.
- Secure all offices and buildings, ensuring lights, taps, and locks are in place.
- Announce incidents via the tannoy system under the BGN disaster contingency plan.
- Follow all Health & Safety rules during duty.
- Undertake any additional security tasks assigned by the Line Manager.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Security Guard.
- Education: SLC/SEE passed.
- Technical: Security training certifications preferred.
- Languages: Good spoken & written English and Nepali.
- Must pass an English test, security & physical test before interviews.

- Monthly Salary: NPR 66,242 (Permanent Position)
