🛡️ Job Summary
The Local Guard Shift Supervisor is responsible for supervising U.S. Embassy security operations. Duties include managing guard shifts, ensuring safety of U.S. personnel and facilities, monitoring emergency procedures, and preparing reports.
This position plays a vital role in the U.S. Embassy security team in Nepal, offering career stability, international exposure, and attractive benefits.
🎯 Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervise local guard force shifts at embassy facilities and residences.
- Ensure security operations comply with U.S. standards.
- Plan guard schedules and make adjustments as needed.
- Detect and report potential security threats.
- Assist LGF Commander in overseeing embassy security programs.
- Prepare incident reports and provide regular updates.
- Conduct access control and visitor screening.
✅ Required Qualifications
Education:
- Completion of secondary school is mandatory.
Experience:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in the military, police service, or as a professional security guard.
Language Skills:
- Good working knowledge of English and Nepali (reading, writing, speaking).
Job Knowledge:
- Knowledge of emergency procedures, security protocols, and use of modern security equipment.
Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to operate security systems, alarms, and radios.
- Physically fit to work in varying weather conditions.
- Flexible for night/day shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Must hold a valid Class B (Car/Jeep) driving license.
