Job Summary
WOREC Nepal is seeking a qualified and passionate MEAL Officer to support its central and district-level programs. The MEAL Officer will be responsible for developing and implementing results-based monitoring and evaluation systems, ensuring accountability, and supporting the documentation of achievements and learnings across projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a Results-Based MEAL System aligned with WORECโs strategic goals.
- Design data collection tools, M&E formats, and guidelines for project tracking and evaluation.
- Build capacity of staff and partner organizations on MEAL practices.
- Collect and analyze data using a feminist and intersectional approach.
- Track project outcomes, achievements, and budget utilization monthly.
- Support project teams with data validation, reporting, and documentation of success stories.
- Conduct field visits to monitor project activities and assess impacts.
- Prepare mid-term and annual MEAL reports and learning documents.
- Ensure project outcomes align with gender equality and empowerment goals.
- Participate in organizational meetings, campaigns, and partner coordination events.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Masterโs degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Gender Studies, or a related discipline.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in project management, preferably in human rights, gender equality, or social justice sectors.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and report-writing skills.
- Proficiency in MEAL systems and project management tools.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to conduct frequent field visits across provinces.
