Qualification & Experience
- Bachelorโs degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 1โ2 years of relevant professional experience in system engineering or IT infrastructure.
Skills & Knowledge Required
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for communication with vendors and investigating bodies.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Server Management: Install, configure, and maintain Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL) and Windows Server environments.
- Virtualisation: Manage VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter for virtual infrastructure.
- Networking & Security: Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, and network security practices.
- System Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Use tools like Nagios, Zabbix, LibreNMS, Prometheus, Cacti, and Smokeping for monitoring and issue resolution.
- Scripting & Automation: Basic knowledge of Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
- Storage & Infrastructure: Understanding of RAID, SAN, NAS, and backup storage solutions.
