Opportunity Village Nepal (OVN) is a reputed NGO dedicated to promoting the rights of women and children in Nepal. Our mission is rooted in ending child labor, preventing human trafficking, advocating for girl child education, and economically empowering women. OVN works directly with at-risk communities and the youth entertainment sector to ensure social justice and protection for all.
๐ฏ Key Responsibilities:
- Lead social mobilization and outreach within the youth entertainment sector.
- Provide direct support to vulnerable and exploited children and youth, especially those impacted by commercial sexual exploitation.
- Build strong networks with entertainment sector stakeholders.
- Identify project beneficiaries (aged up to 30) and assess their support needs.
- Establish working relationships with entertainment sector owners.
- Support vocational training (VT) participants with business planning and job placement.
- Conduct training, workshops, advocacy campaigns, and community awareness programs.
- Maintain effective communication, documentation, and reporting.
๐ Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelorโs Degree in Social Work or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and internet tools.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English and Nepali.
- Experience working with vulnerable populations and local stakeholders.
