About SDA
Shangri-La Development Association (SDA) is a registered non-government, not-for-profit organization established in 2014 by youths committed to community transformation. SDA has successfully implemented multiple projects including:
- Shangri-La Sustainable Local Initiative Project (SSLI IโIV)
- School Building Reconstruction & Education Support (SBRES)
- Shangri-La Reconstruction & Development Project (SRDP)
- One Time Support Project (OTSP)
Currently, SDA is implementing the SSLI-V Project in partnership with Shangri-La Association (Switzerland) and Govinda Association (Germany).

Position Details
Position: Field Coordinator
Location: Makwanpur (with coordination for activities in Jumla)
Employment Type: 1 Year (extendable)
Gross Salary: NPR 40,000โ45,000 per month
Reports To: Coordinator
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Implementation & Coordination
- Lead the implementation of SSLI-V activities in Makwanpur and support JSCP in Jumla.
- Coordinate with local governments, NGOs, stakeholders, and communities for impactful project delivery.
- Conduct field visits, community events, and trainings.
2. Team Supervision & Capacity Building
- Supervise and guide field staff, social mobilizers, and helpers.
- Ensure quality implementation and staff capacity development.
3. Planning, Monitoring & Reporting
- Prepare quarterly & annual project plans and progress reports.
- Document case studies and success stories with the communication team.
- Maintain accurate project data and achievements.
4. Administration & Resource Management
- Manage field office administration, payments, contracts, and logistics.
- Ensure safeguarding of staff, children, and organizational property.
5. Additional Duties
- Support proposal writing, M&E activities, and reporting.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Coordinator/Executive Committee.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelorโs Degree in a relevant field + 2 yearsโ experience in the development sector
OR - Masterโs Degree in a relevant field + 1 year experience
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Experience in community development, social mobilization, and NGO/INGO projects preferred.
