👩💼 Job Overview – Executive Director
We are hiring a dynamic and visionary woman leader to take on the full-time role of Executive Director. This high-level management position reports directly to the Executive Committee and leads overall strategy, governance, operations, and impact.
🔍 Key Responsibilities
1. Leadership & Governance
- Represent WOREC in high-level strategic and advocacy platforms.
- Liaise between the Executive Committee and Central Management Team.
- Facilitate decision-making aligned with organizational values.
2. Strategic Management
- Lead organization-wide planning and implementation.
- Drive strategic alignment of programs with feminist values and community needs.
3. Program Oversight
- Supervise district-level operations and national campaigns.
- Ensure quality control, timely delivery, and impact tracking.
4. Advocacy & Representation
- Amplify WOREC’s mission on national and international forums.
- Promote women’s empowerment, gender equality, and human rights policy reforms.
5. Fundraising & Donor Relations
- Identify new funding opportunities and lead proposal development.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing donors and partners.
6. HR & Organizational Culture
- Promote inclusive, safe, and empowering work environments.
- Oversee recruitment, staff development, and retention strategies.
7. Knowledge & Learning
- Supervise the Knowledge and Communication Unit.
- Foster innovation and evidence-based advocacy.
8. Ethics & Accountability
- Enforce compliance with all internal policies, safeguarding measures, and financial transparency.
🎓 Required Qualifications
- Master’s / M.Phil / PhD in Social Sciences, Management, Economics, Rural Development, or related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in program management, including 3 years in leadership roles.
- Deep understanding of human rights, gender justice, and development sectors.

- Excellent communication in both English and Nepali.
