🎯 Job Purpose
As the driver, you’ll ensure safe transportation of staff and goods across Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, maintain vehicle safety, and support field logistics. You’ll play a key role in enabling clean energy and poverty-alleviation projects in remote communities.
🚗 Key Responsibilities
✅ Driving & Passenger Safety
- Drive safely and follow traffic rules and speed limits.
- Ensure all passengers wear seatbelts (front and rear).
- Only transport authorized personnel and project materials.
- Stay punctual, professional, and informed of road conditions.
- Maintain mobile communication and ensure secure parking.
- Avoid smoking inside or around the vehicle.
🛠️ Vehicle Maintenance
- Perform daily vehicle checks (oil, water, brakes, etc.).
- Ensure presence of logbook, first-aid kit, tools, and safety gear.
- Schedule timely servicing and refueling.
- Report mechanical issues and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
📋 Admin & Support
- Log all trips, fuel, repairs, and mileage accurately.
- Maintain valid license and vehicle documentation.
- Assist operations staff with document delivery, scanning, and field errands.
- Immediately report any accidents to supervisors and local authorities.
✅ Requirements
Essential:
- Valid driving license with 4WD/off-road experience.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience driving for NGOs/INGOs.
- Excellent knowledge of Karnali and Sudurpaschim road networks.
- Basic communication in Nepali and English.
- Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and safety procedures.
- Honest, disciplined, and responsible attitude.
Desirable:
- First Aid Training certification.
- Formal training in vehicle repair/maintenance.
