About LIFE Nepal
LIFE Nepal is a non-profit, women- and youth-led NGO established in 2012 and registered at the District Administration Office, Dhanusha. Affiliated with the Social Welfare Council, Kathmandu, LIFE Nepal works across education, health, livelihood, child protection, social inclusion, and development sectors with a focus on children, women, Dalits, Muslims, youth, and persons with disabilities.
We are looking for a qualified and experienced M&E Officer to join our dynamic team and support impactful development projects in Madhesh Province.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Monitoring & Evaluation plan for projects.
- Design IEC materials, monitoring templates, and project reporting tools.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing on Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL).
- Support in conducting baseline and endline surveys and research.
- Validate, verify, and manage data from the field.
- Analyze both quantitative and qualitative data to track project progress and impact.
- Prepare knowledge products, reports, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies: Child Protection, GESI, HR, Financial, Safeguarding, PSEA, and Code of Conduct.
- Conduct regular field monitoring visits and joint reviews with project teams.
- Stay updated on best practices and methodologies in M&E.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Line Manager.
Requirements for M&E Officer Vacancy
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Application (BCA preferred) or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Monitoring & Evaluation (NGO/INGO sector preferred).
- Strong experience in project implementation, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement.
- Proficiency in MS Office, SPSS, Kobo Collect, and database management.
- Excellent skills in report writing, communication (English & Nepali); knowledge of Maithili/Bhojpuri is an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving, and team-building skills.
