🔹 Key Responsibilities (Network Engineer / IT Support Role)
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot network devices including switches, routers, and wireless access points.
- Support firewall configuration and security appliances (Fortigate, Cisco).
- Perform basic network security monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Conduct site surveys and optimize wireless network performance (AP placement, channels, power settings).
- Diagnose wired and wireless network issues to ensure minimal downtime.
- Monitor network alerts using tools like Nagios Network Monitoring System.
- Provide remote and on-site technical support to enterprise clients.
- Visit customer sites for complex technical issue resolution.
- Maintain documentation related to IP addressing, subnetting, routing & switching configurations.
- Escalate critical network security or infrastructure issues to senior engineers.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction through follow-ups and service quality.
🔹 Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree running (IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or Science preferred).
- Minimum 6 months of experience in IT Support, Network Engineering, or Technical Support.
- Strong knowledge of:
- OSI Model & TCP/IP Protocol Suite
- IP Addressing & Subnetting
- Routing & Switching
- Basic configuration knowledge of:
- Cisco Devices
- Fortigate Firewalls
- Familiarity with Network Monitoring Tools (Nagios preferred).
- Ability to work in 24/7 rotational shifts.
- Flexible to work during critical outages.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Team-oriented mindset with customer-focused communication skills.
