🚘 Position Overview: Driver – Kathmandu Based
This Kathmandu-based driver job offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and professional international NGO environment. The Driver will support daily logistics for field movements, assist with transporting PIN staff and goods, and maintain the assigned vehicle per organizational standards.
✅ Key Responsibilities
🚙 Driving and Transport Safety
- Ensure safe and timely transportation of authorized personnel and goods.
- Drive 4WD/off-road vehicles for field visits across Bagmati, Madhesh, and Lumbini Provinces.
- Follow all traffic rules, safety protocols, and PIN policies.
- Maintain strict security procedures at checkpoints and roadblocks.
🛠 Vehicle Maintenance
- Perform daily/weekly inspections and log maintenance checks.
- Ensure vehicle cleanliness, fuel management, and safe parking.
- Report mechanical issues promptly.
📋 Administrative & Reporting Duties
- Maintain accurate logbook records and delivery documentation.
- Keep vehicle documents and driving license up-to-date.
- Communicate with logistics and operations teams as required.
🎓 Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum SEE/SLC or equivalent (preferred)
- Valid driving license (mandatory)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a professional driver in NGO/INGO sector
- Proven experience driving on rural and off-road terrain
- Familiarity with Bagmati, Madhesh, and Lumbini road routes
- Technical knowledge of basic vehicle repairs
- First Aid training and basic spoken English are advantages
