Job Overview

The Assistant Manager – People & Culture will design, implement, and monitor impactful HR strategies to create a performance-driven and employee-focused work culture. You will lead Learning & Development programs, manage the Performance Management System (PMS), and enhance employee experience, ensuring alignment with eSewa’s strategic objectives.


Key Responsibilities

Learning & Development (L&D)

  • Lead end-to-end training processes including needs analysis, design, delivery, and evaluation.
  • Implement a Tiered L&D Framework for all job levels.
  • Manage Learning Management Systems (LMS) and integrate personalized learning paths.
  • Introduce premium certifications, leadership development programs, and blended learning approaches.
  • Track progress via dashboards, completion rates, and ROI analysis.

Performance Management

  • Oversee Performance Management System ensuring goal-setting, reviews, and feedback cycles.
  • Cascade OGSM from leadership to individual employees.
  • Train managers in coaching, feedback, and career conversations.
  • Collaborate with HRBPs for Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs).
  • Maintain performance dashboards and appraisal reports.

Employee Experience & Engagement

  • Lead onboarding excellence programs and engagement surveys.
  • Manage wellness, mental health, and psychological safety initiatives.
  • Organize culture-building events and recognition programs.
  • Conduct exit interviews and improve retention strategies.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Supervise and mentor the People & Culture team.
  • Align departmental goals with organizational strategy.
  • Maintain SLAs for HR operations and partner with Head–P&C for strategic initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Business Administration or related field.
  • 7+ years of professional HR experience (minimum 2 years in L&D or performance management leadership).

Technical Skills

  • Expertise in LMS, performance tracking tools, and data analytics (Excel/Power BI).
  • Instructional design, training facilitation, and coaching experience.
  • Knowledge of learning analytics and ROI measurement.

Behavioral Skills

  • Empathy, adaptability, and active listening.
  • Strong collaboration, accountability, and problem-solving skills.
