The Embassy of Japan in Nepal, located in Panipokhari, Kathmandu, is seeking a qualified and dedicated Information and Public Relations Staff. Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (any field) from a recognized institution.
- Work Experience:
- At least 3 years of professional experience.
- Proven experience working in a multicultural environment.
- Languages:
- Fluent in both written and spoken English and Nepali.
- Speech writing skills are a plus.
- Japanese language proficiency (JLPT N2 or equivalent) is highly desirable but not mandatory.
- Media and Communication Skills:
- Ability to build media relationships and gain event coverage.
- Experience in managing social media and website content (updates, posts, media handling).
- Computer Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
Preferred Skills and Additional Assets:
- Experience living in or immersion in Japanese culture.
- Basic to intermediate video editing skills.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, or other content creation tools.

- Highly organized, responsible, and reliable.
- A team player with a passion for public relations and diplomacy.
