About the Kheldai Sikdai Project
Kheldai Sikdai is an initiative aimed at transforming traditional classrooms by integrating play, engineering, and exploration-based learning into everyday education. The goal is to move beyond rote learning to create joyful, hands-on, and meaningful learning experiences in government and low-resource schools.
Job Summary
We are seeking a Project Field Assistant who is proactive, organized, and passionate about community engagement and education reform. The successful candidate will support the field-level implementation of the Kheldai Sikdai project in Madhesh Province through coordination, stakeholder engagement, logistics, administration, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Field Implementation & Coordination (60%)
- Organize and coordinate school visits, workshops, M&E sessions, and training events.
- Engage with local government officials, schools, and community leaders.
- Draft and deliver formal project-related communications to municipalities.
- Facilitate community interactions and teacher engagement events.
- Represent the project in local forums as assigned.
- Collect field data including attendance, photographs, and feedback documentation.
- Ensure proper material distribution to project schools.
✅ Administrative & Financial Support (40%)
- Maintain clear records of field activities in accordance with organizational policies.
- Coordinate field logistics including venue booking, travel, and procurement.
- Manage petty cash and submit timely reports with supporting documents.
- Liaise with local vendors to ensure quality service and material delivery.
Required Qualifications & Skills
🎓 Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, Management, or a related field (preferred).
Experience & Skills:
- Experience in education, community engagement, or teacher training projects is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Nepali, Maithili, and Bhojpuri is mandatory.
- Familiarity with Google Suite tools (Docs, Sheets, Forms, Drive).
- Nepali typing skills and basic computer literacy.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Must own a personal vehicle with a valid driving license.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing project needs.
