ASTHA Nepal works with the poor, Dalits, indigenous, and disadvantaged communities to enhance awareness and improve livelihoods. Currently, ASTHA Nepal is partnering with World Vision International Nepal to implement the HATEMALO for Child Wellbeing and Integrated Development Project (FY26) in Achham District, focusing on child protection, inclusive development, and resilient livelihoods.
💼 Position: Programme Coordinator
The Programme Coordinator will be responsible for the effective implementation, coordination, and reporting of the HATEMALO Project. This role demands strong leadership, project management, and relationship-building skills to ensure high-quality program delivery.
📋 Key Responsibilities
1. Project Management (40%)
- Lead integrated project planning and implementation aligned with strategic objectives.
- Ensure timely reporting, financial tracking, and risk management.
- Maintain strong governance and compliance with child and adult safeguarding standards.
- Coordinate with government bodies, partners, and internal teams to achieve project outcomes.
2. Capacity Building (10%)
- Coach, mentor, and guide the field and operational teams.
- Conduct regular staff capacity assessments and performance appraisals.
- Promote a culture of learning, adaptability, and accountability.
3. Monitoring & Evaluation (20%)
- Lead data management and MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning) activities.
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry, analysis, and reporting.
- Produce regular impact and community feedback reports.
4. Relationship Management (10%)
- Coordinate closely with local and provincial governments.
- Strengthen partnerships and collaborations with NGOs and stakeholders.
- Maintain transparent communication within teams and partners.
5. Safeguarding & GEDSI Mainstreaming (10%)
- Ensure all operations are child and adult sensitive.
- Integrate Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) principles into all activities.
- Comply with WVI Nepal’s Child Sponsorship and Protection standards.
6. Livelihood Programming (10%)
- Promote green business and enterprise development for sustainable livelihoods.
- Maintain accurate beneficiary databases and measure program impact.
- Utilize PPI and BCR indicators to assess food security and return on investment.
🎓 Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Economics, Enterprise Development, Climate Change, NRM, or related fields with minimum 5 years of relevant experience
OR - Master’s degree in a relevant field with at least 3 years of experience managing multiple projects.
Preferred Skills:
- Proven experience in livelihoods, climate change, WEE, GEDSI, child rights, and humanitarian development.
- Strong project and financial management skills.
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
- Experience working with World Vision International Nepal or similar INGOs is an added advantage.
