Job Summary – Teller (Assistant)
Standard Chartered Bank Nepal is seeking a qualified Teller in Pokhara to handle cash management, cheque processing, remittance services, ATM & card operations, and customer service. This role requires strong numerical accuracy, digital banking knowledge, and risk management skills.
Key Service Delivery Responsibilities
- Accept cash and cheque deposits, encash in-house cheques.
- Process outward remittances (telex/SWIFT) and inward clearing cheques.
- Handle foreign currency transactions, draft issuance, and voucher processing.
- Perform duties as ATM & Credit Card custodian.
- Collect applications for online banking, cheque books, ATM, credit cards, and statements.
- Provide efficient and professional customer service.
- Support teller/remittance counters during high traffic.
- Ensure dual control of vault and ATM functions.
Risk Management & Compliance
- Follow Nepal Rastra Bank regulations and SCB internal policies.
- Ensure accuracy in transactions and record-keeping.
- Comply with AML/CFT guidelines and report suspicious transactions.
- Maintain high audit ratings and adherence to procedures.
Candidate Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Management/Business or related field.
- Strong mathematics, numerical proficiency, and digital literacy.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a team, manage time, and adapt to change.
- Administrative and organizational skills.
