About the Organization
The NGO Federation of Nepal (NFN) is a national umbrella organization with over 6,781 member NGOs across Nepal. NFN works to strengthen the role of NGOs and CSOs in good governance, human rights, democracy, development, and humanitarian response. It is actively involved in policy advocacy, capacity building, and social transformation through partnership and coordination with national and international stakeholders.
About the Project
The Civic Space Project is a collaborative initiative jointly implemented by NFN and the Association of International NGOs in Nepal (AIN), with financial support from the Delegation of the European Union to Nepal.
The project aims to promote civic engagement, freedom of expression, and inclusive governance in Nepal.
Position Overview – Team Leader
NFN is seeking a dynamic, result-oriented, and highly competent professional to lead the Civic Space Project. The Team Leader will be responsible for project planning, coordination, monitoring, reporting, and partnership management.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and strategic direction for the Civic Space Project.
- Manage project implementation, budget utilization, and performance monitoring.
- Coordinate with the EU Delegation, AIN, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with donor requirements and reporting standards.
- Facilitate capacity-building activities and promote collaboration among civil society organizations.
- Prepare progress reports, presentations, and policy briefs as required.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Master’s degree in Development Studies, Social Sciences, or Project Management.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in project management within the development or governance sector.
- Proven experience working with EU-funded projects or international donors.
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Excellent command of English and Nepali (both written and spoken).
