🎯 Position Purpose
The MEAL Associate (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning) will support project design, implementation, data management, and reporting systems for HEARD Nepal programs. The role ensures strong monitoring frameworks, accountability mechanisms, and knowledge sharing to promote evidence-based decision-making.
📌 Key Responsibilities
- Support the design and implementation of MEAL frameworks and project monitoring plans.
- Collect, analyze, and validate quantitative and qualitative field data.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and timely reporting to management and donors.
- Maintain project monitoring databases and digital data collection tools (Kobo, ODK, etc.).
- Assist in baseline, midline, and endline surveys, assessments, and evaluations.
- Strengthen community accountability through feedback and response mechanisms (CRM systems).
- Document and share success stories, lessons learned, and case studies.
- Build staff and community capacity on MEAL tools and approaches.
- Collaborate with program teams, partners, and local governments for effective implementation.
- Contribute to donor reporting, proposal development, and organizational learning.
✅ Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Development Studies, Statistics, Social Sciences, or related field.
- Minimum 1 year of professional experience in Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning (MEAL) with NGOs/INGOs.
- Knowledge of logical frameworks, indicators, and monitoring tools.
- Proficiency in Excel, Kobo, SPSS, or similar data software.
- Strong reporting and communication skills in Nepali and English (local Saptari language is a plus).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel extensively in field locations.
