Job Vacancy Notice – GERUWA, Bardiya

Geruwa Rural Awareness Association (GERUWA) is a well-established, non-profit, community-based NGO founded in 1991 and working in Bardiya, Nepal. GERUWA focuses on WASH, health, education, governance, gender mainstreaming, disaster management, and livelihood promotion aligned with its strategic plan.

GERUWA is currently implementing the SAFAL Project in collaboration with Terre des hommes (Tdh) Foundation, aiming to strengthen WASH services in institutions and communities. To support the effective implementation of this project, GERUWA invites applications from qualified, dynamic, and motivated Nepali citizens for the following positions:


1. Project Coordinator

  • Vacancy No: 09/2081/82
  • Project: SAFAL Project
  • Duty Station: GERUWA Office, Gulariya, Bardiya
  • Required No.: 1 (One)
  • Age Limit: 21–59 years

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health and/or Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Health and WASH sector project management
  • Proven leadership and coordination experience with district and municipal health systems
  • Prior engagement with provincial-level stakeholders and policy advocacy
  • Familiarity with project strategy development and implementation oversight
  • Excellent interpersonal, reporting, and communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office and basic data analysis tools
  • Fluent in English and Nepali
  • Two-wheeler driving license is mandatory

2. MEAL Officer

  • Project: SAFAL Project
  • Duty Station: GERUWA Office, Gulariya, Bardiya
  • Required No.: 1 (One)
  • Age Limit: 21–59 years

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field (BPH, BE, B.Ed, BScIT, or health-related degree preferred)
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in monitoring and evaluation
  • Strong documentation and case study writing skills (English)
  • Proficient in data collection tools such as KoBo Collect and Google Sheets
  • Experience in both qualitative and quantitative data reporting
  • Fluency in English, and good command of Nepali and Tharu preferred

Exam Format:

  • Written Test, Practical, and Interview
