We are currently hiring a Financial Officer (80–100%) to join our Finance & Controlling Department in Kathmandu starting August 2025 or upon mutual agreement.
🔹 Position: Financial Officer
📍 Location: Kathmandu, Nepal
📅 Joining Date: August 2025 or as agreed
⏳ Duration: 3 years (extension possible)
💼 Workload: 80%–100%

🛠️ Key Responsibilities
- Record domestic and international accounts payable invoices using Abacus Business Software
- Maintain supplier data per procurement protocols
- Conduct weekly payment runs and validations
- Manage credit card and direct debit transactions
- Reconcile accounts and resolve invoice discrepancies
- Validate certificates from self-employed vendors
- Translate invoice-related queries (German/French to English)
- Supervise staff worktime registration systems
- Ensure timely and accurate financial documentation and reporting
- Support internal and external audits
- Track incoming payments and open receivables
- Train new team members on finance workflows
- Create and deliver financial training materials (including video guides)
🎓 Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or relevant field
- Minimum 6 years of experience in financial accounting
- Solid understanding of accounting principles
- NGO experience preferred (but not mandatory)
- Detail-oriented with strong numerical and analytical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and Abacus Business Software
- Excellent command of English (German or French is a plus)
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines consistently
