Our mission is to promote clean spaces, air, and water through inclusive community engagement and responsible environmental practices. We focus on solid waste management, water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), and building the knowledge and capacity of communities to adopt sustainable lifestyles and improve public health.
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and proactive Field Mobilizer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for community development, experience in local government engagement, and a strong background in field mobilization and facilitation. This role will be critical in supporting the implementation of project activities at the community level.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage local communities and stakeholders to raise awareness of project goals and activities.
- Facilitate community meetings, gather feedback, and promote inclusive participation.
- Organize and mobilize local volunteers, community groups, and stakeholders for environmental activities such as clean-up campaigns, composting, and recycling.
- Identify and support schools in delivering outreach programs focused on effective waste management and Zero Waste principles.
- Assist in organizing capacity-building sessions that promote environmental sustainability and community health.
- Collect, document, and report relevant social data to assess project impact.
- Serve as a liaison between the project team and community, addressing concerns and ensuring transparent communication.
- Support the Project Coordinator in planning and implementing activities, including the installation of waste bins and signages along the Langtang National Park hiking trails.
- Assist in maintaining the project database and ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Collaborate with local government bodies, Langtang National Park, and community organizations to ensure project integration and coordination.
- Contribute to social impact assessments and project evaluations.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned by the organization.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of an Intermediate (10+2) education level.
- At least 1.5 years of relevant experience in field mobilization and community facilitation.
- Priority will be given to candidates from Gosaikunda Rural Municipality.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: capacity building, community coordination, and local government engagement.
- Proven ability to work effectively in diverse and challenging environments.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience in mobilizing volunteers and facilitating environmental or community-based initiatives.
- Ability to work with people from varied backgrounds and cultures.
