Caritas Nepal announces a new Social Mobilizer job vacancy in Bardiya under the RESPONSE TO EMERGENCY LIVELIHOODS AND INFRASTRUCTURE FOR FLOOD-AFFECTED FAMILIES (RELIEF) Project. This project is designed to support flood-affected families in Bardiya District by providing emergency assistance, safe shelter construction, livelihood opportunities, and essential community infrastructure rehabilitation.
The RELIEF Project also focuses on strengthening community resilience through awareness campaigns, participatory planning, and capacity-building activities while ensuring transparency, accountability, and active participation of local beneficiaries.
Position Details

- Location: Gulariya Municipality, Bardiya
- Project Period: Till 30 June 2026
- Reports to: Shelter Project Coordinator and District Program Coordinator
Key Responsibilities
- Mobilize communities for shelter construction and livelihood improvement.
- Conduct household interviews and community surveys.
- Support community awareness and resilience-building activities.
- Facilitate participatory planning and ensure community engagement.
- Prepare clear, accurate, and timely reports.
- Collaborate with project staff to ensure smooth implementation.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Strong skills in communication, facilitation, and community mobilization.
- Minimum +2 (Intermediate level) education required; Bachelorโs in Social Sciences preferred.
- Minimum 2 yearsโ experience working in community development, shelter, or livelihood projects.
- Fluency in Awadhi, Tharu, and Hindi with working knowledge of Nepali.
- Ability to work independently and in a team with integrity and accountability.
- Basic computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel, Email).
- Must hold a valid two-wheeler driving license for frequent field visits.
