Overview
The U.S. Mission in Kathmandu is seeking qualified and eligible applicants for the position of Guard Force Commander in the Regional Security Office.
This is a supervisory position with responsibility for security of U.S. government facilities and residences.

Duties
The Guard Force Commander is responsible for:
- Supervising and planning all local guard force (LGF) operations at U.S. government facilities and residences.
- Providing security during official functions and events.
- Ensuring all guards meet annual training and performance standards.
- Detecting, deterring, and responding to criminal or terrorist threats against U.S. personnel and property.
- Maintaining security budgets, overtime records, and equipment inventories.
- Conducting access control, visitor screening, and emergency response duties.
Qualifications & Requirements
โ Education: Completion of secondary school is required.
โ Experience:
- Minimum 5 years in the military, police, or security services.
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
โ Language Proficiency:
- Good working knowledge of English (speaking, reading, writing).
- Good working knowledge of Nepali (speaking, reading, writing).
โ Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to operate security systems, alarms, and radios.
- Ability to stand/walk for long periods in varied weather.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must hold a valid local Class B driving license (Car/Jeep).
