Role Purpose
The MEAL Officer will lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning systems. This role ensures data-driven decision-making, programme accountability, and continuous learning across all Manavsewa Ashram branches.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage project MEAL plans, indicators, and data collection schedules.
- Conduct routine monitoring visits to shelters and field sites; supervise data collection teams.
- Manage databases, ensure data quality, conduct audits, and prepare analytical reports.
- Produce monitoring dashboards and share insights with programme teams.
- Support baseline, midline, and endline studies; document lessons learned.
- Manage complaints and feedback mechanisms, ensuring safeguarding compliance.
- Train staff and volunteers on MEAL systems, tools, and reporting.
- Serve as the focal point for MEAL coordination and donor reporting.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelorโs degree in Social Science, Statistics, Development Studies, Public Health, Economics, or a related field (Masterโs preferred).
- 5โ7 years of proven MEAL/M&E experience with NGOs or INGOs.
- Strong skills in quantitative & qualitative methods (surveys, FGDs, KIIs).
- Experience supervising field data collection teams.
- Proficiency in digital/mobile data collection tools and advanced Excel.
- Excellent report writing in English and Nepali.
- Knowledge of accountability, safeguarding, and ethical data management.
